The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs participates in the 17th session of the Council of Human Rights, held in Geneva from May 30 to June 17, 2011.



The delegation which includes Mr. Moulay Ahmed Mghizlat and Mrs Maouelainin Saadani, participates within Corcas action, which has always attended the HRC’s sessions to denounce the different forms of Human Rights violations, affecting people in the Tindouf camps, including women, children and the elderly.

The works program for this session includes discussion of several reports of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, namely "the Universal Periodic Review", racism, segregation against foreigners, various forms of intolerance, follow up of the implementation of the Durban Declaration and the Action Program.

Moreover, the agenda includes debate on the protection of human rights, fundamental freedoms and their promotion.
