The French Foreign Minister Alain Juppé told the parliamentary foreign-affairs committee, on Wednesday in Paris, that the latest Security Council resolution on the Sahara has taken into account Morocco's efforts in the area of human rights.



  Alain Juppé told the parliamentary foreign-affairs committee that this resolution, which extended the mission of the UN mission to the Sahara (MINURSO) "takes into consideration Morocco's efforts to include human rights."

    In this connection, he recalled the establishment of the National council on Human rights (CNDH) which has large powers at national level and at the level of regions, including the southern provinces.

   Morocco has also expressed readiness to accept a certain number of missions with regard to human rights, he said, adding: "I think that this is a positive evolution."
