The report, presented on Wednesday during a plenary session before the House of Representatives, underlined that the tents which were pitched by some of Laayoune's inhabitants as a sign of peaceful protest had a purely social nature.
These demands were exploited by some criminals, ex-convicts and an Algeria-backed terrorist group with separatist inclinations, to undermine Morocco's stability and unity, the report noted.
It comprises a presentation on these events which took place on November 8 and constituted an "unprecedented phenomenon" that preoccupied the national public opinion.
The report recalled the commission's missions, goals, agenda and methodology, noting that the body questioned 122 witnesses, in addition to collecting documents and information necessary to fulfil its mission.
The report also includes recommendations by the fact-finding parliamentary commission on the events of Gdeim Izik camp and the city of Laayoune.
It concluded that these events had a painful impact on the inside and were exploited in an appalling way by outside parties.
It highlighted the effort made by the members of the commission and presented the conclusions it has objectively reached, in accordance with its supreme mission which is searching for the truth and bringing it to the public opinion.
