"It is time to settle the Sahara issue through a solution that satisfies all parties, because this conflict is a real obstacle to the development of the Arab Maghreb region and contacts between its countries, " said Monday in Rabat , the chairman of the Mauritanian Party for Unity and Change (HATEM), Mr. Saleh Ould Henenna.

In a statement to the press before the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Democratic Forces Front (FFD) and HATEM, M. Ould Henenna stressed the need to work to find a solution likely to achieve development of the Maghreb and its unity.

Unity remains the only way to achieve development aspired by our peoples in the Maghreb, "he said.

The FFD and HATEM signed a cooperation protocol aimed at strengthening contacts between the two sides as well as bilateral relations.
