The polisario militia, expelled, on Monday, the son of the militant Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud, aged 12, from the school he was attending in the camps of Tindouf, in the Algerian territory, after he expressed concern over the unknown fate of his father, The Action Committee for the Release of Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud said in a statement.

"Thus, Algeria and the polisario militia have not only kept Mustapha Salma in complete isolation, letting his family without any news, but also deprived an innocent child of his right to education and involved him in a political conflict," the statement says.

This inhuman treatment towards an innocent child is only an example of the pressure and psychological war perpetrated by the Polisario against Ould Sidi Mouloud's family members who live in the camps of Tindouf, the committee made it clear, noting that this case raises more concerns, not only about the fate of Mustapha Salma, but also about that of his family.

The Committee reiterated its call upon the international community to urgently intervene with Algerian authorities, given Algeria’s legal responsibility over the violations taking place in its territory, in order to release Mustapha Salma and put an end to the harassments endured by the members of his family.

Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud was kidnapped on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, because he plainly expressed support for Morocco’s autonomy proposal as the unique and serious solution to the conflict over the Sahara, the Committee recalled.
