Major Event

A new group of 83 Sahrawis fled torture in the notorious Tindouf camps (south-western Algeria), through the Guergarat border post, and joined their homeland, Morocco.

Since last March, hundreds of Sahrawis, including women, men, children and youngsters, managed to join Morocco's southern provinces after escaping the Polisario-run Tindouf camps.

The returnees said that the population held against its will in the camps opposes the policies and theses of the Polisario's leaders, who seek to endure the Sahara conflict at the expense of the forcibly detained population.
