Macedonian Secretary of State for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Abdulkader Memedi, reaffirmed, Monday in Rabat, his country's support for Morocco's project to grant substantial autonomy to its southern provinces, the Sahara, within the Kingdom's sovereignty.
Following a meeting with Secretary of State for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Latifa Akharbach, the Macedonian official reiterated, in a statement to the press, the support of his country to the Moroccan autonomy initiative, describing the proposal as "interesting."
He said the Moroccan initiative "demonstrates the willingness of the Kingdom to reach a final solution to this issue in order to achieve peace and security in the region.”
Memedi also called on all the parties to “resume negotiations “under the aegis of the United Nations to put an end to this conflict.
