Given that sequestered Sahrawis are on its soil, Algeria is expected to guarantee their right to freedom of movement, choice of their place of residence in contact with their families and international human rights organizations, said Miyara, who was the guest of 2M Monday’s evening journal.
Algeria should also allow representatives of organizations of Human Rights to visit the camps, in addition to conducting a census and adopting transparent and clearly defined mechanisms for the evaluation of international aid for the benefit of sequestered, he said, emphasizing the suffering of hostages who are exploited by Polisario that diverts humanitarian aid for their benefit.
The conclusion we can draw from the massive return of sequestered people in Tindouf to the Motherland is that they were victims of false allegations conveyed over several years by the Polisario leadership, he said.
Emphasizing major projects, open policies and steps taken by Morocco in the field of human rights, these people realized the false claims of Polisario, he said.
He called on all Sahrawis sequestered in Tindouf to follow the path of their brethren who have returned to the motherland, stressing that there is a growing belief especially among young people that the Sahrawis future lays in autonomy and democracy that prevail in Morocco.
