The delegation was informed about the latest developments of the Sahara issue and Algeria’s hostile stand regarding Morocco's territorial integrity and the Kingdom's efforts to reach a final solution to this artificial conflict.
Explanations were also given to the Senate staffers on the large-scale projects and the assets achieved in the field of human rights and liberties, particularly in the southern provinces.
They also learnt about the important investment opportunities in the city of Laayoune and its main economic activities which are backbone of its local development.
The delegation is expected to meet with several Human rights organization and a number of Sahrawis who chose to escape the Camps of Tindouf and join their motherland, Morocco.
