A group of Fifteen youngsters, including five women and five children, joined on Sunday their homeland, Morocco, after they managed to flee the torture inflicted in the camps of Tindouf (southwestern Algeria).

Speaking to MAP, members of the returning group recounted the unbearable living conditions in the camps and called on the population held against their will in Tindouf to join the "forgiving and merciful homeland".

They also denounced the systematic embezzlement of humanitarian aid by the Polisario in the camps of Tindouf, underlining that the majority of the population is eager to return to their homeland.

On Thursday, some 33 Sahrawis escaped the Tindouf camps, to return to Morocco.
