Former Democratic congressman, Bill Gray, was informed, on Wednesday in Dakhla, of the local development process.

Gray also held talks with the people who fled the Tindouf camps to regain the homeland. He told the press that his meeting with governor of the province of Oued-Eddahab, Hamid Chabar, was an opportunity to get acquainted with the experience of the region in the ongoing process to ensure a better life for the local population, in line with the Royal vision for economic development and social justice.

Gray attended a series of testimonies on human rights violations in the Tindouf camps (south-western Algeria) and intimidation practices waged by the Polisario to suppress the population in these camps and silence all voices that rise against its action.

Repression and humiliation acts committed against the population detained in the polisario’s jails and manœuvers to divert humanitarian aid destined to the Tindouf population were also highlighted during these meetings with the American congressman.
