The process of electing third of members of the House of Councilors (Senate) on Friday, 2nd October 2009 in the Sahara witnessed extensive participation by the electorate of the local communities and professional rooms, like the turnout recorded at the national level in all points of the Kingdom, where participation rate exceeded 93% for local communities, and 97% for the bodies of professional chambers
