In this paper, the Libyan authorities specify the following:.

"The presence of Mohamed Abdelaziz in the Great Jamahiriya was related to his participation in the summit of the African Union, to which " SADR "is a member, held in Tripoli, August 31, 2009 and dedicated to conflict resolution in Africa. He was not invited to Sept. 1festivities, though he expressed his wish to participate if an invitation was addressed to him.

Moreover, States that were invited to participate in these festivities were invited to participate in official delegations at the level of Heads of State or their senior representatives, by military units and art troops, which was not the case with "SADR", in line with our commitment to respect the guarantees given to our brothers in Morocco.

What happened did not deviate from this clarification. Any upset which was caused to our brothers the Moroccan government was perhaps due to the involuntary aspects of protocol, related to the size of the event and the high number of guests, which caused disruption, things that occur in such events.

The Libyan General People's Committee for External Relations and International Cooperation reiterated categorically that in this case had no political significance, while expressing its firm commitment to the continuation, strengthening and consolidation of fraternal and strategic relations between the two brotherly countries in all fields.

The General People's Committee for External Relations and International Cooperation takes this opportunity to renew to the Embassy of Morocco in Tripoli its respect and sincere consideration.
