The autonomy initiative in the Southern provinces of Morocco constitutes “the only alternative which will bring a fitting solution to an artificial regional dispute” asserted, on Monday at Rabat the chairman of the foreign affairs committee, Malian who live abroad, and the African integration, in the Malian national assembly, Mr Amado Bouare.
“Today more than ever we reiterate our unquestionable support to the autonomy plan for the southern provinces of Morocco, the only alternative which will bring a solution to an artificial regional dispute, which lasts for more than thirty years” announced Mr Bouare to the media following talks with vice chairman of the House of Representatives Mr Lahcen Daoudi.
Mr Amado Bouari, who leads a parliamentary delegation of his country underlined: “our position is confirmed by the latest UN security council resolution of 30th of April 2009”.
Members of the Malian parliamentary commission had “the pleasure” to receive their “Moroccan colleagues and brothers” in July 2008, and “we assured them of the interest that we grant to the settlement of the Sahara issue “he added.
