Forty countries reaffirmed Thursday their support for Morocco's full sovereignty over its southern provinces during the 59th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, held from June 16 to July 9 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

The State of Qatar reaffirmed before the UN Committee of 24 (C-24) its support for the Autonomy plan presented by Morocco to achieve a definitive settlement to the regional dispute over the Sahara.

Guatemala reiterated its support in New York for a political solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, within the framework of respect for the Kingdom's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The Spanish Coordenadas Institute for Governance and Applied Economics has affirmed that the Moroccan autonomy plan represents the "only realistic way" to reach a final solution to the conflict over the Moroccan Sahara.
