The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs participates with the official delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco at the thirty-eighth session of the United Nations Human Rights Council which takes place from June 18 to July 6, 2018, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.


CORCAS is represented by a delegation consisting of Moulay Ahmed Mghizlate, member and Hassan Sbaï, chief of staff, at this session, marked by the debate over the withdrawal of the United States from Human Rights Council.


In addition, the Human Rights Council will examine the report of the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women on the activities of the United Nations Trust Fund for Human Rights combating violence against women.


It will also take note of the High Commissioner report summarizing the round table on the role of local and regional authorities in the promotion and protection of human rights held on September 4 2017.


This session is also marked by the fact that the Human Rights Council is discussing the final document which presents  recommendations and conclusions on modalities and practices for the universal periodic review, before the adoption of the final document by the Council in plenary session.
