Macky Sall Award Launched to Promote Peaceful Conflict Resolution in Africa

The representatives of the Royal Advisory Council on Saharan Affairs (Corcas) at the 34th session of the Geneva Human Rights Council, Saadani Maouelainin, Moulay Ahmed Mghizlat and Hassan Sbai participated March 21, 2017 in the High Level Panel Organized by CIRID on the sidelines of the session in Geneva chaired by President of Senegal, Mr Macky Sall.


In his inaugural speech, President Macky Sall praised and paid tribute to Morocco's participation in the initiation of the "Macky Sall Award for Dialogue in Africa" was officially presented on December 13 in Geneva.


This event concerns the launch of the "Macky Sall Award for Dialogue in Africa", whose "aim is to stimulate the birth and consolidation of a spirit of listening and mutual tolerance favorable to the peaceful resolution of conflicts".


"This distinction will serve to honor and encourage all political and social dialogue initiatives in Africa," to "support and accompany the efforts of the African Union (AU) and its regional and sub-regional groups, including the Diaspora ".
