Foreign Activities

The HRC opened yesterday the works of its June session, the second session of the year. It will take place in Geneva from June 10-27, 2014. Morocco participates with a delegation comprising several members including Moulay Ahmed Mghizlat and Mrs. Saadani Maouelainin.

The second session of the HRC will be an opportunity for the Moroccan delegation and Corcas representatives in particular to advocate for the implementation of the Rabat Plan and highlight developments in Morocco on human rights, particularly with the 2011 constitution and the establishment of independent national human rights bodies in Laayoune and Dakhla. It is also an opportunity to present the socio-economic and cultural benefits of the implementation of the autonomy project and its role in strengthening human rights in the Sahara region.

Corcas Delegation will counter allegations of all parties to divert the universal sense of human rights defended by the United Nations and democratic countries.

It should be noted that Mrs. Navi Pillay, High Commissioner for Human Rights made an official visit to Morocco and welcomed the significant progress in the field of human rights.
