The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS) is represented by its Vice-chairman Kheddad El Moussaoui in the delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco which attended the Caribbean Regional Seminar of the Committee of 24 held in Nadi, Fiji, May 21-23.

Sixty delegations of United Nations member countries participate in this meeting which aims to accelerate the implementation of the recommendations of the Third International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism (2011-2020)

Corcas helps within the Moroccan delegation, as it has done in previous years, in the consolidation of the position of Morocco concerning the treatment of the national issue.

It informed participants on the latest developments of the Sahara issue , in the light of the adoption by the Security Council of its latest resolution 2152 , in which the Moroccan autonomy proposal was deemed genuine, realistic and credible .

The General Assembly of the United Nations established in 1961 a special committee called the Committee of 24 responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Declaration on decolonization and making recommendations to this issue.
