On the sidelines of the 23th session of the UN Human Rights Council, the delegation of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs held several interviews with participants as well as with Swiss officials.



The delegation, which consists of Saadani Maouelinin and Moulay Ahmed Mghizlat, was accompanied by Mohamed Balbacha, charge d'affaires at the Embassy of Morocco in Switzerland, visited Monday and Tuesday Bern, where it held fruitful discussions with officials from the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Swiss businessmen.

The first meeting took place Monday, May 27, 2013, with business men and the two Corcas representatives who presented the promotion of development, conducted in the southern provinces, indicating that a particular effort has been agreed by Morocco to improve infrastructure, implement and develop the missing infrastructure in the Sahara region.

In this regard, CORCAS played the role contained in its founding  Dahir, namely identifying needs, contributed with the relevant departments to design and implement projects.

This effort has allowed the region to join the level of other regions of Morocco and made interesting and attractive investment in the Sahara region, improving services for citizens and positive impact on their social conditions.

They highlight the economic development experienced by the southern provinces, particularly in the agricultural sector.

The corcas delegation met, Tuesday, May 28, 2013, senior officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and gave them a presentation on the evolution of the Sahara.
