Mr. Moulay Ahmed Mghizlat and Miss Saadani Maoulainine participate along with a high-level Moroccan delegation in the meeting of the Human Rights Council in Geneva from May 31 to June 18, 2010.

This session of the Human Rights Council will be an opportunity for CORCAS members to remind participants of the progress of Morocco's human rights throughout the kingdom and in the Sahara region in particular. It is also an opportunity for them to highlight the credibility and seriousness of the Moroccan initiative to grant autonomy to the Sahara region mentioned in the last Security Council resolution 1920. On the other hand, this session of the HRC will be an opportunity to expose abuses of human rights perpetrated by the leaders of the Polisario Front in the Tindouf camps for 35 years.

The Human Rights Council is an intergovernmental body of the UN system, composed of 47 states that have the responsibility to strengthen the promotion and protection of human rights around the globe.

The Council was established by the UN General Assembly, on March 15, 2006, with the primary purpose of addressing situations of violations of human rights and making recommendations against them.
