The President of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid said in Paris on Thursday that autonomy Project  for the southern regions of the Kingdom is the best and most appropriate" solution for the settlement of the Sahara issue.

Mr Maouelainin Maouelainin Ben Khalihenna , , who was  on the 28th of April guest of the broadcast “Hadith Assaa” of the BBC radio, has indicated that the only solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue lies on the substantial autonomy proposal .

Khalihenna: Sahara conflict Moroccan- Moroccan issue with international dimensions

Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs said to Aljazeera’s Dayf Al Muntasaf Program that the circumstances that prevailed in the seventies in the Maghreb, the Cold War, the inter Arab conflicts - Arab conflict between progressive regimes and conflicts between the then preservative regimes caused interventions in the Sahara conflict, bringing about deep international dimensions.

"The Secretary General’s report is an important testimony from the UN Secretary General before the Security Council, reflecting that all the options presented before the United Nations failed. First, Baker's project has become a burried option as it does not comprise all the conditions required for a solution based on justice and objectivity relating mainly to the Sahara issue.
