The Malagasy newspaper "Le Quotidien” said on Monday that autonomy plan in the Southern regions within the framework of national sovereignty "strengthens Morocco’s position to find political  and final solution acceptable by the parties" to the Sahara issue.



  Under the heading "the solution put forward by Morocco enjoys praise from everyone" the newspaper wrote that autonomy proposal "encourages new the dynamism launched by Morocco about autonomy as a realistic and acceptable solution, within the framework of the Kingdom’s and territorial unity".

    It pointed out that "the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco comes in the context of Security Council resolutions calling on parties and the region’s states to fully cooperate with the United Nations to break the current impasse and achieve progress towards a political solution”.
  
 Reminding the French position about the autonomy plan, the newspaper wrote that the French authorities described as "constructive" the Moroccan project on autonomy to reach a final political solution to this regional dispute.

    Regarding the position of the United States about the project, the paper said that Washington "expressed its appreciation for the plan prepared by the Moroccan government to find a realistic and viable solution" to the Sahara issue.
