Le Matin du Sahara: The Bulgarian Ambassador Ms. Petrova Katya Todorova renewed the support of her country to a "final solution acceptable by all parties" to the Sahara issue. Ms. Petrova said in an interview published Friday in Le Matin du Sahara paper that Bulgaria would "continue to support efforts aimed at reaching a final solution acceptable by all parties in the framework of the United Nations. " 



The Bulgarian diplomat pointed out that "this dispute settlement could be the result of consensual agreement and direct negotiations between all concerned parties". Regarding the proposal to grant the Kingdom’s southern regions autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty, Ms. Petrova Todorova said that her country considers the fact that the project preparation, " is the result of consultations with all political parties and representatives of all segments of the Saharan population”.

Ms. Petrova Todorova mentioned "the need to activate the Arab Maghreb Union "adding that the 25 session of the Foreign Ministers of the European Union confirmed this.
 
In this regard, she hoped that the “Declaration of the Arab Maghreb Union will be committed to the desire to build an integrated space of peace, tolerance and good neighborliness, which should be a model for a strategic partnership, and helps reduce the Socio economic disparities between the North and the South".
