In a article published on Wednesday in the American daily newspaper “Washington Times” Mr Mohammed cherkaoui who is also head of research in the national centre of scientific recherché in France, asserted that the region of Sahara would have known a human tragedy if the social links with Morocco were to be broken, he added “without the Sahara the history of Morocco is incomprehensible, and without Morocco, Sahara is nothing but a desert”
Mr Cherkaoui author of a sociological and geopolitical study about the Sahara, the conclusion of this study led to one direction, which is the emergence, and consolidation of a dense network of social and economic links which integrate the provinces of Sahara, and help them to quit the destitution, they have known during the colonization, and allow them to have access to the modernity” reveals Mr Cherkaoui who is also a member of the editorial staff of a number of international magazines.
