The editor of the Gabonese newspaper "Union", Lin-Joël Ndembet, said the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco in order to settle the artificial conflict over the Sahara is "a bold solution" that is able to write "a new page in the history of the region."

The Union wrote in its edition of Tuesday that Mr. Ndembet in his speech before the 4th Committee of the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York, called on all parties to "take this pioneering Moroccan position to counter the balkanization of the Moroccan territory and write a new page in the history of the region."
