By supporting the thesis of Polisario separatists, Algeria, stakeholder in the Sahara conflict, "knowingly playing with fire", supported by lobbies at the UN and Western NGOs,  missinformed about local realities, writes French journal "Valeurs actuelles" in its latest issue.

The Sahara issue has poisoned for almost forty years relations between Morocco and Algeria, said the publication, noting that the Algerian regime may increase instability in the Sahara-Sahel zone where is mafia and jihadist networks.

The magazine points out that Algiers turned Polisario into puppet in the service of its anti Moroccan strategy, noting that the separatists use often lucrative traffic in conjunction with Algerian mafia networks.

"Supported by Algeria, Polisario is now threatening to take up arms. This artificial conflict is an interference of a foreign State which seeks to destabilize Morocco by supporting pseudo-separatism", says director Observatory for Geopolitical Studies Charles Saint-Prot, quoted by the magazine. The author of the article discusses the royal speech of November 6, which reaffirmed Moroccan sovereignty from Tangier to the Mauritanian border and reminds the autonomy plan presented by Morocco in 2007 to put an end to this artificial conflict.
