The sequestered people are helpless because of "the lack of hope, misery, endemic poverty and tyranny," said the author Abdullah Saleh in this article.

According to the author, the destination of young people and leaders fleeing the camps is either Morocco or the unknown through a perilous crossing to Europe.

He also points out that the Front’s leaders, intelligence services and different structures of Polisario (youth, women ...) have become aware that the proposed UN referendum cannot, under any circumstances, be applied.

On the other hand, Abdullah highlighted the success of the strategy developed by HM King Mohammed VI, supported by a policy of human development in the Saharan provinces, which encouraged thousands of Sahrawis to return the motherland.

The article mentions western reports shedding light on everyday life in Tindouf and the inhuman conditions in these camps.
