Khalihenna: the Sahara issue is due to economic and social domestic mistakes turned into international problem

Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, said during a meeting with residents of region the "the basis of the Moroccan Sahara issue is economic and social mistakes turned into an international problem and underwent many inaccuracies, fraud and corruption and all that could be conceived from misunderstanding. "





Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid added that " the Royal proposal relating to self-government, aims to turn the page on the past, correct errors and maintain advantages."

He pinted out "that the basis of the autonomy proposal is the economic, social, political and cultural interestes with the region’s inhabitants on the basis that these regions are essential part of the Great Moroccan identity."

The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs reiterated that "this project goes beyond the requirements of administrative decentralization, which is currently adopted Morocco, to very advanced stages of the recognition of economic, social and political rights, as implemented in the major democratic countries, like Spain, Great Britain and France on the basis of the participation of all cultural components in the management of political affairs.
