A delegation of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs headed by Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, held meetings on Monday and Tuesday in Madrid with many Spanish politicians, parliamentarians and trade union officials. Mr. Ould Errachid explained the philosophy behind the setting up of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs and its structure reflecting all Saharan society in addition to its duties, which are mainly based on developing an autonomy plan to put an end to this conflict which has lasted more than 30 years.

Corcas chairman, replying to a question by “El Pais” newspaper during a press conference held in Madrid that the Sahara dispute undermines the future of the Arab Maghreb and compel Sahrawis living on Algerian soil to suffer a continuous crisis.

Mr. Ould Errachid said that autonomy would not be useful to Sahrawis only, but also to whole region

 A delegation of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs headed by Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, held meetings on Monday and Tuesday in Madrid with many Spanish politicians, parliamentarians and trade union officials. Mr. Ould Errachid explained the philosophy behind the setting up of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs and its structure reflecting all Saharan society in addition to its duties, which are mainly based on developing an autonomy plan to put an end to this conflict which has lasted more than 30 years.

On Tuesday morning, the delegation met with members of the union Committees where they held a working meeting with several officials in this central trade union, primarily the responsible for Institutional Relations Banguez Salvador and Chief of migrations and International Cooperation, Mohamed Anwar Haydour.

Mr. Ould Errachid and his accompanying delegation also had discussions with members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Spanish Parliament (Lower Chamber of Parliament). It is expected that the delegation will meet the Senate today Tuesday afternoon.
