Head of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), Khalihenna Ould Errachid, held talks in Rabat on Wednesday with the Speaker of the Rwandan Chamber of Deputies, Donatille Mukabalisa, who is on a working visit to Morocco. December 18 to 21, 2018.


The meeting, attended by Dr. Maouelainin Ben Khallihenna Maouelainin, Secretary General and Ahmed Mghizlat, CORCAS member on the latest developments of the Moroccan Sahara issue, in particular, the current attempts to revive the negotiation that have been inaugurated by the new Personal Envoy Horst Köhler, with the meeting that took place in Geneva on 5-6 December 2018 




The solution being solely due to the efforts made by the Kingdom, within the framework of the United Nations, to find a just and mutually acceptable solution, consists in granting a large autonomy to the southern region of the Kingdom, on the basis of of the initiative presented prepared by Saharawis themselves within their representative institution Corcas and adopted after approval of HM the King by Morocco and presented in 2007, at the UN.




On this occasion, it was pointed out the role of the Kingdom at the regional and international level and its contributions since its return to the AU to the reform of the continental organization "so that it is more effective and more independent ", noting that the establishment of the free-trade area between the countries of the continent should be a powerful engine at the service of integration and prosperity of the African peoples.


The Speaker of the Rwandan Chamber of Deputies, who was accompanied by a large delegation of deputies met several Moroccan officials.
