The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid, received on Friday at the Council's headquarters, Kenji Kosaka, president of the of Japan-Morocco Friendship Group, currently  visiting Morocco until May 5.


Corcas chairman spoke with his host about the latest developments in the Sahara, including the latest resolution adopted by the Security Council (20099), which has again recognized autonomy as a realistic and serious solution, reforms in the Kingdom, especially the progress made through  the implementation of the UN system of human rights and instruments.

This meeting was also an opportunity for the Japanese official to reiterate the position of his country that supports a political solution and the efforts by the United Nations in this regard, to achieve a negotiated political solution mutually acceptable to the parties.

At this meeting, the Chairman of Japan-Morocco friendship group was accompanied by Toshinori Yanagiya, Japanese Ambassador in Rabat, Hure Yukiko, First Secretary at the Embassy of Japan, Sugiyama Yoshiko attaché at the embassy, Lahoucine Rahmoni Minister counselor of the Embassy of Morocco in Japan Intissar Loukili Hassani, from  the House of Representatives.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Council, Dr. Maouelainin Ben Khalihanna Maoulainin, Vice chairman, Khaddad El Moussaoui and Moulay Ahmed  Mghizlat Council member.
