Domestic Activities

Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs received Tuesday, March 29, 2011, a delegation from the Center for Strategic and International Studies CSIS, at the Corcas headquarters in Rabat.



At this meeting, Corcas Chairman and CSIS delegation headed by Mr. John J. Hamre, President and Chief Executive of the CSIS, discussed the latest developments of the Sahara issue, including the progress of negotiations between the parties, under the auspices of the United Nations which lunched the process of negotiation for a negotiated political solution, following the momentum created by the Moroccan proposal to grant autonomy to the Sahara region, which initiative was welcomed by the international community as serious and credible.

The meeting was attended by Secretary General of the Council, Dr. Maouelainin Benkhalihenna Maouelainin Mguizlat and Mr. Ahmed, Corcas member.
