The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (Corcas) is represented by Moulay Ahmed Mghizla in the delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco, which participates in the Caribbean Regional Seminar for 2022, which opened yesterday in the capital of Saint Lucia, Castries .

This seminar takes place from May 11 to 13 and is held in the context of the beginning of the Fourth International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism (2021-2030). The main theme of this year's seminar is the debate on the situation in the face of the coronavirus pandemic and the situation after the pandemic.

The seminar is being held under the auspices of the Ad Hoc Committee of 24 and will conclude with recommendations to be considered by the Ad Hoc Committee and then forwarded to the General Assembly.

Corcas is contributing within the participating Moroccan delegation, as it has done in previous sessions since 2006, to the consolidation of Morocco's position on the treatment of the national question.

This includes the presentation of the numerous and important successes that our first national cause has achieved.

In addition to the recognition of the Moroccan nationality of the Sahara and the opening of many consulates in the Moroccan Sahara, these successes also include the near-unanimous support of the international community for the autonomy initiative as the only solution to end the artificial conflict that Algeria and Polisario persist in fuelling without success.
