Answering a question about "the developments in the national cause" at the House of Representatives, Boucetta said that Security Council Resolution 2468 confirms that the outlines of the solution must be realistic, pragmatic, durable and based on compromise, noting that the autonomy initiative is the only solution that is in line with the UN Security Council resolutions, a fact that thwarts the unrealistic and unilateral solutions by the enemies of territorial integrity.
The national cause is witnessing, thanks to the farsighted royal vision, important and very positive developments, namely the validation of the Moroccan approach in defending the legitimate rights of the Kingdom and the serious aspect of the position of Morocco and its effective commitment to finding a solution to this artificial conflict, she said.
These developments show the continuous and growing support for Morocco at the international level, since its efforts are described as serious and credible, she said, noting that the latest Security Council resolution identified by name the parties to this artificial regional dispute.
She said that, for the first time since 1975, Algeria was mentioned 5 times, adding that the Security Council recognizes that a strong, continuous and constructive involvement of Algeria is necessary to put an end to this long-running regional dispute.
She said the gains of the Kingdom are always preserved within the framework of the defense of its interests, namely the political solution, the confirmation of the pre-eminence of the autonomy initiative as a solution to this artificial conflict, the call for the census of the population in the Tindouf camps, the reaffirmation of the historical and legal status of the zone east and south of the Moroccan defense structure and the reiteration of the injunction to refrain from undertaking provocative actions.
