The third edition paves the way for an in-depth reflection on Africa in 21st century

After the unquestionable success of the two previous editions, the city of Dakhla, the pearl of the South of Morocco, welcomes March 16-21, the world gotha of the world of politics, economy and finance in the framework of the Prestigious Forum Crans Montana (FCM).

"Towards the new Africa of the 21st century. Stability, cohesion and solidarity for sustainable development. The structuring role of Morocco in Africa "is the theme chosen by the organizers to pay tribute to the continent from Moroccan and African soil.

The Crans Montana Forum is a perennial tradition of the Moroccan Sahara, crossroads of encounters, land of exchange and dialogue, underlines the president of this event, Pierre-Emmanuel Quirin .

Again this year, more than a thousand participants from all over the world will come together to conduct a thorough reflection on 21st century Africa and its potential in terms of South-South cooperation.

In this context, the Forum will not fail to give special attention to local populations, African women, young entrepreneurs and small island developing States, which have long been left out of the major international meetings.

For the Honorary President and founder of the prestigious Forum, Jean-Paul Carteron of Switzerland, the quality of participation has revealed the collective ambition that animates African actors to counter the stereotypes on a whole continent and give the right measure of Its potential and assets for the future.

This is the credo and philosophy of the organizers of this global conclave as an opportunity for dialogue and sharing of projects and visions for the future between the high representatives of Africa, the rest of the world and the local populations.

At a time when Morocco is making a brilliant return to the African Union, it is more essential than ever to allow the major international decision-makers to discover a city and a region which is the very demonstration that no fatality resists a political visionary and voluntarist development, stress the organizers.

Indeed, this vision that presides over the development of the provinces of southern Morocco has become the source of inspiration and reference for the entire African continent.

Special emphasis will be placed this year on food security and sustainable agriculture at a High-Level Panel that will highlight the innovative policies that Morocco has decided to share with its African partners.

Public health, renewable energies, natural resources management, maritime industry, the role of youth and women will also be at the heart of the issues of this edition.

The two previous editions of the forum were also organized in Dakhla around the theme of Africa and South-South cooperation under the patronage of HM the King.

They were attended by over 2000 participants representing more than 150 countries and 500 journalists representing media from all regions of the world.
