The MP and spokesperson of the Swedish Green Party (in power), Pernilla Stalhammar, said that the recognition of "SADR" will now not be in the review process of the Sahara issue, initiated by the Government of her country.

"The recognition is not in the review process being conducted by the Ministries of Development of International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs", she told MAP, following a meeting at Parliament with the delegation of Moroccan leftist parties on a visit to Stockholm.

Ms. Stalhammar said «she does not understand what triggered the diplomatic tension with Morocco, since the decision is not in the process."

"We support the UN process towards a political settlement of the Sahara issue," said the Swedish official, whose party is a member of the ruling coalition led by the Social Democratic prime minister, Stefan Löfven since 2014.

"It's really important that we support the UN process" about the Sahara conflict, "she added.

Ms. Stalhammar has, on the other hand, welcomed the visit by the Moroccan delegation in Stockholm, expressing the desire to see "dialogue continue."

Furthermore, she described as "significant" cooperation between Morocco and Sweden, two countries that maintain "good relations", facing the migratory crisis in Europe in order to achieve the "best solutions" to this issue .

Led by the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party (PSU), Mrs. Nabila Mounib, including the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP), Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS), the Moroccan delegation completed Wednesday its visit to Sweden, marked by interviews with Swedish party leaders on the latest developments from the position of Stockholm on the Sahara issue  and efforts of democratization and socio-economic development of the kingdom .
