A delegation of journalists representing foreign media organizations accredited in Morocco visited Dakhla on Friday to learn about the tourism and economic potential of the Dakhla-Oued Dahab region.

The visit, organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication is part of the first annual meeting with foreign media accredited in Morocco, which aims to promote the institutional image of Morocco, highlighting the potential of Dakhla and the progress made by the region under the new development model for the Kingdom's southern provinces.
The visit is an opportunity for the delegation, made up of 20 correspondents accredited in Morocco, representing foreign media organizations (news agencies, TV channels, written press), to get a closer look at major projects and infrastructure in the sectors of tourism, hospitality, logistics, renewable energies, fisheries and agriculture.

On this occasion, members of the press delegation were invited to follow a presentation by the Director of the Regional Investment Center in Dakhla-Oued Dahab, Mounir Houari, who reviewed, with supporting figures, the main productive sectors in the region.

The delegation then held a meeting with the President of the Dakhla-Oued El Dahaba Council, Khatat Yenja, during which they highlighted the development boom in the region in various fields, within the framework of the new development model for the southern provinces of the Kingdom.

In a statement to the press, Mustapha Amdjar, Director of Communication and Public Relations at the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, said that this visit is part of a program aimed at informing media representatives.
