The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (Corcas) is represented by Moulay Ahmed Mghizlat in the delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco, which participates in the Pacific Regional Seminar of the Committee of 24 which opened today in Bali, Indonesia.


This seminar, which takes place May 24- 26 is held in the context of the beginning of the Fourth International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism (2021-2030), has as its main theme this year, the debate on innovative measures to ensure the achievement of sustainable development goals.
The seminar is being held under the auspices of the Special Committee of 24 and will conclude with recommendations to be considered by the Special Committee and then forwarded to the General Assembly.

Corcas is contributing within the participating Moroccan delegation, as it has done in previous sessions since 2006, to the consolidation of Morocco's position on the treatment of the national cause

This includes the presentation of the numerous and important successes that the cause of our territorial integrity has achieved.

It is also an opportunity to present the successes of the development policy applied by Morocco in its southern provinces, in accordance with the theme of this session of Bali Committee of 24.

The program of this session includes, among other topics, the development policy of non-self-governing territories in the Pacific region, in the Caribbean region and other regions.

The other topic on the agenda is the role of the United Nations system in the efforts to comply with the standards established by the relevant United Nations resolutions on sustainable development.
