The results of the elections held by Morocco, specifically the turnout in the southern provinces, "reflect the attachment of the people of the Sahara to the unity of the Kingdom, under the same flag," said the prominent Paraguayan political analyst, Ignacio Martinez.

The free elections held in Morocco are part of a "vision of leadership" that seeks the citizen synergy under the same flag, "a clear patriotic leadership, consistent with a desire for unity" expressed in these elections, he added.

With a turnout of 66.94% in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, 63.76% in Guelmim-Oued Noun and 58.30% in Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, these three regions of the southern provinces of the Kingdom largely exceed the rate of 50.18% recorded nationally during this triple vote.

In this sense, the Paraguayan expert stressed that the elections of September 8 "mark a solid course in the policy of openness and democratic exercise in Morocco. "They also support the policy of national unity and constitute a clear rejection of separatist designs," continued the Paraguayan journalist and writer, author of a book entitled "Latin American Look at the Moroccan Sahara.

For him, the elections were held in "a climate of freedom" and high participation that reflect the confidence that Moroccans show in the development of their country.

Thus, "the winning political parties are called to accompany the titanic projects launched by HM King Mohammed VI, and thus, strengthen the support of the citizen to the state policy in favor of inclusive development," said Martinez.

"I would like to emphasize finally the space of freedom that Morocco enjoys. Within this society (Moroccan) open to its continent and the world, citizens opt for change, in unity and stability, "he noted.
