The Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region has 8,050 candidates for the normal session of the unified national baccalaureate examination for the 2019/2020 school year.
4,326 candidates are in public education and 981 in the private sector, 2,743 free candidates, according to data from the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
2,784 candidates are female, 53%, and 2,523 candidates male (47%).By provincial delegation, the number of candidates is distributed between the province of Laâyoune (2,468 candidates), Smara (973), Boujdour (734) and Tarfaya (151), specifies the same source.
The supervisory ministry announced that the ordinary session of the unified national baccalaureate 2020 examination will take place in two poles, namely July 03 and 04 for literature, humanities and original education, and 06 to 08 July technical sciences and vocational baccalaureate.
The results will be announced on July 15, while the normal session of the unified regional examination for free candidates will take place on July 01 and 02.
To guarantee that exams run smoothly, AREF has planned 39 examination centers (22 in Laâyoune, 9 in Smara, 5 in Boujdour and 3 in Tarfaya), in addition to amphitheater of the Higher Institute of Trades medical centers, Regional Center for Education and Training in Laâyoune, local Smara prison and three indoor sports halls.
AREF has also implemented several preventive measures to protect the health of students and teaching staff against risks associated with the spread of the new coronavirus, by limiting the number to 10 candidates in each class.
The Academy also carries out regular disinfection of all the places set up for examinations and installation in sufficient quantities, on the day of the exams, disinfectant products and protective masks for the candidates and teaching staff responsible monitoring exams.
