The Government of Antigua and Barbuda reaffirmed, Friday in Rabat, its "unwavering" position of the Moroccanity of the Sahara and the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco over its southern provinces.


In a joint communiqué issued at the end of his talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans abroad, Nasser Bourita, minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Trade of Antigua and Barbduda, E. P. Chet Greene, said that "this regional conflict must be resolved within the framework of the Kingdom's Autonomy Plan, which is credible, serious and realistic."

The minister also expressed his government's commitment to support the Autonomy Plan in international and regional gatherings within the United Nations General Assembly, the 4th Commission, the Human Rights Council, the C24 and regional organizations such as OECS, CARICOM to seek a political solution, within the framework of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco and in respect of its territorial intergrity."
