Italy commended "Morocco's serious and credible efforts" to resolve the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, underlines the declaration signed Friday in Rabat between Morocco and Italy establishing a multidimensional strategic partnership between the two countries.
Italy also reaffirms its support for "the efforts of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to pursue the political process aimed at achieving a just, realistic, pragmatic, lasting and mutually acceptable political solution" to the Sahara issue, which is based on "compromise in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, particularly resolution 2494 of 30 October 2019".
Morocco and Italy inked, on Friday, a declaration of a multidimensional strategic partnership built on the common awareness that "both sides are key partners for each other in managing regional and international challenges".
