Bahrain Supports Morocco's Efforts to Find Solution to Moroccan Sahara Issue

Bahrain supports Morocco's continuous efforts to find a political solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue in accordance with UN resolutions, and under Morocco's sovereignty and territorial integrity, said Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa on Saturday in New York.

The Kingdom of Bahrain, within the framework of its commitment to all that contributes to security and stability, reaffirms its solidarity with the continuous efforts by the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco to find a political solution to the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, in accordance with the relevant Security Council resolutions and under the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of the Kingdom," the Bahraini official said at the 74th United Nations General Assembly in New York. Al Khalifa reiterated his country's positions of principle on regional and international challenges, mainly the pressing need of achieving global peace and security and eradicating terrorism in all its forms in the world. The minister noted that the crises that have affected many countries have created an environment conducive to the emergence of terrorist groups in various forms that threaten security and stability in the Middle East region.
