The call by HM King Mohammed VI to open a frank and direct dialogue with Algeria opens the doors of hope for the peoples of the region who aspire to integration and development, said the founding president of the Crans Montana Forum, Jean-Paul Carteron.


"This view is a new illustration of the constant efforts deployed by His Majesty the King in order to achieve peace and good understanding between the two most important countries of the Maghreb to develop a zone of cooperation, development and fraternity that would make this part of the world one of the largest economic players on the planet, "Carteron said in a statement to MAP.


He noted, in this sense, that "it is no longer a matter of unnecessary quarrels over issues that are part of the old Cold War era, but realpolitik and action in the service of development to satisfy the needs of the people, " noting that " Morocco and Algeria can do wonderful things together ".


The founding President of the Crans Montana Forum has expressed the wish to see "Algeria seize the opportunity offered by this courageous initiative of extended hand".


Mr. Cateron expressed, in this regard, his admiration for the unremitting efforts of HM King Mohammed VI for the consolidation of peace and stability in the world, stressing that "Morocco has always been an initiator and a bearer of peace in international relations ".


The founding President of the Crans Montana Forum similarly highlighted the progress made in Morocco in various areas under the leadership of the Sovereign, particularly welcoming the boom in the southern provinces
