The diplomat also expressed his country's support for the political process, which began in 2007, aimed at achieving "a just, lasting and mutually acceptable political solution" to the Moroccan Sahara conflict.

Mrs. Williams also welcomed "measures and initiatives taken by Morocco to promote and protect human rights, in particular its interaction with the special procedures of the Human Rights Council, as well as the role played by the Regional Commissions of the National Council of Human Rights in Dakhla and Laayoune ".
