Brahim Ghali has always been and will always do what is dictated by Algerian leaders

The election of Brahim Ghali as new leader of the "Polisario" separatist group is indicative of this Stalinist movement as there was a single candidate and a score similar to the type of the North Korean regime, said the Director General of Geopolitical Studies Observatory (OEG) in Paris, Mr. Charles Saint-Prot.

The French expert said that this election proves this movement is a puppet of Algeria and Brahim Ghali is caricature of Polisario.

"It's an apparatchik who was representing in Madrid until 2008 and had to leave the country after the opening by the Spanish justice a judicial investigation for genocide and torture", Charles Saint-Prot said in a statement to MAP.

Describing Brahim Ghali, who was also the permanent representative of the Polisario in Algiers as a man of the old guard of the movement, Mr. Saint-Prot noted that he has always done and will always do as dictated by Algerian leaders.

"They say that the new head of the Polisario embodies a hard line. In fact the separatist movement follows Algeria. Polisario is caricatured in the situation of a movement into disrepair in Algeria in crisis "noted the French expert, noting that Algeria is in a delicate phase of succession and that the tendency is to hide internal crises intensifying anti-Moroccan propaganda and raise stakes on the conflict on Moroccan Sahara.

Analyzing the developments of the Algerian regime, CEO of OEG estimated that there is now a risk of reactivation of the war option and unrest, even terrorism.

"In fact, concern for the region is changing things at the level of the Algerian power," he said, noting that concerning the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara, the problem is Algiers and will remain in the hands of a team that has made this issue asset of a business  and an variable adjustment of its policy.

He hoped, in this respect, the United Nations finally become aware that this charade has to stop.

After emphasizing that the death of Mohamed Abdelaziz, and the recent election of Brahim Ghali as head of the Polisario are non-events, Mr. Saint-Prot said that the separatists do not represent the people of the Moroccan Sahara, or even the unfortunate kidnapped people in Algerian camps living under their control.
