The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna OuldErrachid, received Thursday, April 28, 2016, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of El Salvador, Hugo Martinez, who is on a working visit to Morocco from April 27-29, 2016.
The meeting between Corcas chairman and official from El Salvador, focused on the latest developments of the Moroccan Sahara issue, in particular, the efforts of the Kingdom, as part of the United Nations to find a just and mutually acceptable to end the artificial conflict.
A solution consisting of granting broad autonomy to the southern region of the Kingdom, on the basis of the initiative presented by Morocco in 2007.
Hugo Martinez, for his part, understands the position of Morocco concerning the defense of its territorial integrity, reaffirming the importance he attaches to strengthening relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of El Salvador.
