King Mohammed VI of Morocco and visiting Prime Minister of Spain, José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero voiced, here on Tuesday, joint will to deepen bilateral relations in all fields.

In a statement at the end of a meeting, which was attended by Prince Moulay Rachid, younger brother of king Mohammed VI, the two parties said they are set to deepen relations, part of a strategic partnership that links the two countries in the fields of political consultation, economic cooperation and human and social development.

The two heads of State also hailed the "significant development" of the relations linking their countries in the different aspect of cooperation, reiterating Morocco and Spain's "firm commitment" to peace, security and progress in the region.

At the end of the meeting, the monarch offered a luncheon to his host in a ceremony attended by the top officials of the Moroccan and Spanish governments.

Zapatero arrived in Rabat on Monday to co-chair, with his Moroccan peer, Driss Jettou, the two-day meetings of the 8th Moroccan-Spanish High Level Committee.
