Ms. Gloria Pedeski, President of the Cultural Committee of the municipality of Emilia - Romania, that the autonomy experience is likely to be very positive, expressing the belief that self-government is an appropriate solution to the Sahara issue, after talks in Rabat on Tuesday conducted with the President of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs , Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid. 



Ms. Pedeski said in a statement to the press, the Italian delegation had the opportunity during its visit to Morocco, particularly to the Kingdom’s southern provinces to examine on the ground"major achievements made in these areas." She stressed that "these achievements, in addition to ongoing projects, as well as those programmed in future, will inevitably be a positive development in Morocco." She added that the Italian delegation also had the opportunity during this visit to better understanding of the Sahara issue "about which we were not well informed and we did not have details."

Ms. Pedeski expressed conviction that "the best thing is peace and dialogue." A delegation of the Italian Green Party federations held last Saturday at Dakhla, a meeting with a number of elected councils and civil society actors in Oued Eddahab Lagouira region, and visited many of the of economic and social achievements to see development progress in the region.

The delegation also visited on Monday the city of Laayoune, where it held a group of meetings with local officials and was briefed about a number of social and economic development projects.
